Utilizing a proprietary nitrocellulose compound, the AuoStem (Gen 2) Cartridge is the world’s most powerful cartridge. Released in 2015, the AutoStem (Gen 2) Cartridge incorporate the latest in self-stemming technology, ensuring maximum energy conversion to rock. The product is available in sizes 150g, 200g and 300g charges. The dual stemming capability of the AutoStem (Gen 2) Cartridge, removes all possibilty of user error ensuring an optimal fragmentation size distribution. In keeping with the highest levels of safety, the AutoStem (Gen 2) Cartridge is entirely safe if initiated outside a borehole.
The AutoStem (Gen 1) Cartridge was the world’s first self-stemming non-detonating Power Cartridge released in 2014. Available in a 32mm diameter and suitable for use in a 34mm diameter borehole, the AutoStem (Gen 1) Cartridge comes in 20g, 40g, 60g, 80g and 100g sizes with boosters of 60g and 100g. The product was designed for deep level narrow reef stope panel blasting, but also found applications in secondary breaking, slyping, oversize management, tunelling as well as civils and demoltion work.
